Born into an artist family, Olya has spent her childhood on film sets and in editing rooms, observing and often being involved in a creative process. She became fascinated with photography in her teenage years. This journey has taken her around the world to international film festivals, historic events in Africa, backstage of theaters across Europe, streets of Prague, Paris, Rome and finally, New York, where she now calls Brooklyn her home.

Olya draws her inspiration from literature, music, films and personal experiences. Her photographic work has earned her prestigious awards and appeared in a number of art magazines and global publications, but most importantly, allowed her to meet wonderful, open-minded people and discover fascinating places.

In her spare time, Olya focuses her attention on personal projects, and enjoys a slow, quiet life in Brooklyn with her husband and their 10-year old son, who loves books and instant cameras.
